Last night I had a chance to get my House Mouse Monday challenge card done, the challenge was Neapolitan: use the colours strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla, so far I have very few HM stamps, I am working on that, so I put this little guy together with a RAK I received, I loved the saying but it took me awhile to figure out what to do with it luckily the colours seemed perfect for this challenge, as did the BG paper.
At 365 cards the challenge today was "to make a masculine card but not for an adult" in our family that is extra hard because we have nephews in that 12-14 range, yikes, not adults not boys really either. I had down loaded recently this "monster truck" digistamp from Dustin Pike, and that seemed to work well, and the Birthday sentiment is on the inside "have a monster of a birthday", ha, very clever, dahhhh. I put some "Rock Star" paper, from DCWV in the background just to dude it up a little (skull and cross bones), I do believe masculine cards are the hardest, ahhhhh.
I did have time to rework the 365 cards from yesterday, i restamped the image on smooth white card stock, it coloured much easier, reworked the bow and added a stick-pin with some antique glass boot buttons on it, I am more pleased with it now, and feel a little better about it being more my creation and not someone else, see what you think.
Have a great day, and take a little time to create something.

ReplyDeleteAll three cards are wonderful. Love the circle on the house mouse card perfect.
ReplyDeleteYour quilts are beautiful. My godmother took up quilting after she retired from her day job and made the most beautiful hand stitched quilts. Every night when I turn down the bed, I see the little handstitched message she put in one corner of the quilt, such a precious gift.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting, I really appreciate your taking the time to do that.

Glenna, I just love the "Girlfriend" card. Wow!! I also think the "manly" card is a winner. I am still drooling over the music card with the roses.
ReplyDeleteI came to visit your House Mouse card, but I must say, all your cards on this post are ADORABLE!!! I am not sure what you started out with at 365 cards, but I am loving what you've created here, soooo pretty. I love all of them, great monster truck image and papers are perfect for a masculine card, and of course the House Mouse card, oh so cute, great take on the challenge.
